Learning Goals
In this section of work, students will build and code Spike Prime robots to perform an autonomous tasks.
Success Criteria
Students will demonstrate their skills by:
- Constructing a ‘Driving Base’ robot:
- using the Spike website or
- using the build instructions below
- Program their robot to drive forward, left, right and backward.

- Watch the video
- Open the Build a Practice Driving Base Instructions and follow the steps to build your robot
- Connect your hub and download the codes
Tasks:
○ Basics – Create base code, turn using the gyro, go forward and backward, drive in a circle
○ Draw a square (use the Hint if stuck on the code)
○ Field tactics challenge! (use the Hint if stuck on the code)
