Audience characteristics, or audience demographics, are a set of metrics that describe the characteristics of a target audience. These characteristics can include:
1. Demographics: Age, gender, ethnicity, religion, education, occupation, income, and lifestyle
2. Interests: Hobbies, aesthetics, and other interests
3. Attitudes, values, and beliefs
4. Geographical data: Location
5. Cultural background: Cultural background

Example: Maths Test
Demographics:
– Age: 12
– Education: Can read English, can understand basic maths
Geographical: Must live close to MLSHS

Example: Movie Poster
Demographics:
– Age: 15 to 30
– Education: Can understand English (for an Australian screening)
– income: must have disposable income to afford tickets

Geographical: Must close enough to a cinema
